Well, if I knew what any of it meant... does it mean you have a cocktail with a Viking in your future? sleeping in my party dress, Tuesday, Aug 26, 2008
i love your lack of description on the more "abstact" shots, it keeps me thinking and i find myself delving deeper into the shots and noticing more and more. but in the end i wil never know what your actual interpretation is, and i guess thats ok! sk, Tuesday, Aug 26, 2008
this is quite compelling. but so much more context beneath the surface once you understand what few of the cards mean. for instance, the Fool card represents the "everyman", the innocent on a journey of self discovery. an upright fool card means a new beginning, with energy+optimism+faith. Hope. nontraditional choice of self-portrait but that may also signal something about the artist. when viewers are lucky enough to see a glimpse into an artists' self portrait, it's an intimate look into who they may be. the current Mapplethorpe exhibit explores this very thing. check it out: it's through september. oh, also like the 3 related images. very pretty... bit like receiving pink flowers on a saturday afternoon unexpectedly from a crush. very nice! zoe, Tuesday, Aug 26, 2008
knowing what is the inevitable future would probably bring incredible peace, but a peace somehow very close to death itself. I tend to believe the best of life is being peaceful with the mystery of not knowing. (even though I totally suck at it, haha)... sonja, Wednesday, Aug 27, 2008
